Perhaps, by culling images from the great stage of craigslist, I can compile a library of images which would show the range of sincerity of emails, posts, and anonymous replies. I could then take these images and arrange them somehow in some interesting way (this is not to be trite or trivial – the arrangement is an essential element).
The craigslist post would read similar to this:
“Seeking Actors, Actresses, and Artists for Installation
Please submit a recent photo of your smile. Insincere smiles will not be considered.
The photos will be used for an amazing web project.
Perhaps you have a photo you love from myspace, friendster, match.com, or other social networking site. Feel free to send those pictures. However, the more the sincere the smile, the better.”
