i really didn’t question it until i began watching footage on LiveLeak.com.

they had some footage form the Virginia Tech Shootings, shot on a Nokia N70. While you couldn’t really see anything, it still felt too voyeuristic, too raw. Like I shouldn’t be watching it. I am not recommending you watch it, or seek it out. This only to say that I felt, for the first time, that this kind of video should have its limits.
That is the process of passive indoctrination. Put the idea in the air. Wait for something to hit. The idea will eventually stick.
What’s the alternative? I’m encountering this moral dilemma in the vlogosphere for the first time. I did find some interesting video footage on the site from Alive in Baghdad:

ok – well – don’t get me wrong here. i blog and participate in the blogging community, wherever that is… but this andrew keen guy seems way off the deep end. he’s like the o’reilly to the colbert. though, he is provocative….
I agree with you there Jackie, I think blogging is really positive overall. I like that he even has a blog to promote his book. It seems contradictory.
